It may come as no surprise, but I used to work for Small Dog Electronics in Waitsfield, Vermont. They’re an Apple Specialist Retailer. Recently they were added to Apple.com’s Hot Deals secton. What does that mean? Well, this is a small company with a very family oriented atmosphere. It’s owned by a father and son (Don & Hapy Mayer) and several of its employees have been there since the company started.

They usually have some decent deals on refurbished gear, but once and awhile Apple’s own website beats them on price. Of course if you don’t live in Vermont and you order from Small Dog, you don’t have to pay the state’s sales tax
