This Is Hot - Bluetooth Strikes Again
If you can’t dial 911, the situation must be bad. Fen Technology and Securecom have created a Bluetooth enabled device to dial for you in that rare emergency situation if you cannot dial the number. They call their device the Wireless Personal Alarm and it is a tiny transmitter the size of a dress jacket button that can be worn as a pendant. When you press it, an emergency signal is sent to a predetermined list of contacts that translates your location (using cell phone or satellite GPS). Unfortunately, the unit has to be connected to a phone; cell phone or satellite phone.
How’s this work for you? Perfect if you have a stroke and can’t dial numbers, right?
