Wal-Mart Partners With Netflix

Filed under: techNews — admin @ 12:56 pm

I couldn’t be more disgusted. I really don’t like Wal-Mart for a lot of reasons, but I’m very dissappointed that Netflix took up this offer to partner with Wal-Mart. Granted Netflix may have had some financial reasoning, but I don’t hold Wal-Mart in high regards when it comes to quality product or service, and unfortunately now Netflix may end up falling into that category.

It appears Wal-Mart will shut down its online rental service and promote Netflix’s. CNN reports that Netflix stock went up 30% on the NASDAQ upon the news breaking. Wal-Mart is the largest DVD retailer, and Netflix has the largest subscription base for online DVD rentals.
